Personal life:
I am currently engaged to my college sweetheart, Josh. We met at ASU at the University Highlands. Josh and I are huge ASU fans. In December we’ll have been dating for four years. We are planning a July of 2009 wedding (after I graduate from grad school). When we get married I will be moving to Haywood County (close to Asheville…possibly the Waynesville/Maggie Valley/Clyde areas…I guess wherever we find a house). Josh and his uncle co-own Napa Autoparts stores in the Western Carolina area. Therefore I have no choice but to move. I am very sad to be moving away but also very excited to be getting married and starting a new life. I’m always up for a change. All of my friends are married with children. I’m there “single” friend. I’m sure lots of you know what that’s like. The closer the wedding date gets the more excited I get.
It seems as though there’s so much to do lately. I’m in the midst of buying a new car due to my recent wreck. Josh and I are trying to get approved for a loan to buy a house. I’m also trying to make wedding plans although I’m not getting much of that accomplished at the time. I’m hoping I’ll survive the end of this school year (teaching and graduate school). I’ll be administering EOGs for the first time, getting ready for the wedding, moving my things into a new house and a new classroom, trying to finish grad school, and getting ready for my honeymoon. There’ll be lots of stress and excitement yet to come but I’m up for the challenge.
Teaching:
I currently teach fourth grade at an amazing elementary school in Lincoln County. Last year I taught first grade so I’m learning the ropes of fourth grade. The year before last I taught second grade. It seems like I’ve moved every year. Our numbers changed so much that teachers were moved around. However, like I said earlier, I’m a person who’s up for change. It keeps me on my toes. Anyway, my first month of fourth grade has been going great. I’m thinking these kids talk a lot more than my first grade students. However, they seem to have more personality. I guess there are pros and cons of every grade level.
My hobbies:
I have several hobbies and ambitions (dealing with hobbies). I love scrapbooking in my spare time. I’m up for anything creative. Currently I am in the midst of working on the scrapbooks of my nephew and Josh and me. I am a person who will start something in a scrapbook and move on to something else before I finish. Another crafty hobby that I have just recently taken up is painting literacy tote bags. I have painted Clifford, Curious George, Rabbits, Fish, Chrysanthemum, Frogs, and some other bags that I can’t think of at the moment. I’ve also experimented with making Christmas gifts and ornaments, painting wine glasses, and many other things. There was a point in time in which I made necklaces. I got tired of this quickly. I’ve also tried to take up sewing but I haven’t practiced since college. I also love to decorate. As you can imagine my favorite channels are HGTV, DIY, and The Food Network. An ambition that I have for my craftiness is to open a small store with modern crafts. This is something that may have to wait until retirement.
My favorites:
color: yellow
design: polka dots
food/candy: pizza/chocolate
sport: softball (to play) and football (to watch)
tv shows: One Tree Hill, Dancing With the Stars, FRIENDS (I think I’ve watched all ten seasons four times over the past two years.)
children’s book: The Stinky Cheeseman
Subject to teach: Reading
I hope you have learned a bit about me. These are a few of many things about my life. There are many more exciting things that would take way too long to even mention.

Sounds like you have a lot going on right now!
I would love to see pics of the literacy tote bags; I am intrigued!
