Candace, I like your literacy bags. Do you have the students check them out during centers? Do you have several activities in them or just one at a time?
In first grade I planned on using them through centers. They are supposed to be take home bags. However, I didn’t want them to get lost or damaged since I spent so much time on them. I created most of them at the end of last year. I am hoping to use them if I ever get put back into the younger grades. I am thinking of ways to incorporate them into the upper grades…maybe by doing chapter books. The content inside is from different websites that I used a lot in the younger grades. You can also order literacy packets on different books.
